New Product/Manufacturer Spotlight: Rotatable Dipoles from DIEX Antennas

OnAllBands is excited to feature new products that will be highlighted in the upcoming 2024 DX Engineering Amateur Radio Products Catalog. There are still a few months to go before the catalog will be released, but you’ll find today’s showcased manufacturer and products from more than 175 amateur radio providers at DXEngineering.com.

DIEX Antennas

Here’s a great solution for Hams who want to work HF but don’t have the room to install a towering Yagi.

For two decades, Brazilian-based DIEX Antennas has been providing a proven solution for space-impaired operators. The company’s precision-crafted single-band full-size, single-band shortened, two-band shortened, and multi-band trap shortened rigid rotatable dipole HF antennas, ranging from 9.5 to 50.8 feet, are built with quality materials to withstand tough environments.

Typically mounted on a rotating mast, they provide good directionality depending upon installed height above ground and offer the flexibility to make adjustments to set the lowest SWR to a specific frequency. DIEX antennas are packed partially assembled, saving time and effort. Please note that power handling highlighted below is further limited if using an antenna tuner.

Single-Band HF Full-Size Rigid Rotatable Dipole Kits

Built as a full-size resonant dipole, DIEX single-band aluminum tubing antennas provide excellent performance and are handled with a lighter tower and smaller rotator, offering an economical alternative to the expense of a Yagi. Power handling is 1,500 watts+ PEP. Choose from these models available at DXEngineering.com:

Single-Band HF Shortened Rigid Rotatable Dipole Kits

DIEX Single-Band Shortened Rigid Rotatable Dipoles provide coil-shortened specialized coverage of a single HF band that can complement band coverage of existing antennas. Power handling is 300 watts PEP SSB and 100 watts maximum for digital modes for the 20, 30, and 60M models; 1,000 watts PEP for 80M; and 1,500 watts PEP for 40M. Choose from these models:

Two-Band HF Shortened Rigid Rotatable Dipole Kits

DIEX Two-Band Shortened Rigid Rotatable Dipoles provide coil-shortened specialized coverage of two non-adjacent HF bands that can complement band coverage of existing antennas. Power handling is 300 watts PEP SSB and 100 watts maximum for digital modes. Choose from these models:

Multi-Band HF Trap Shortened Rigid Rotatable Dipole Kits

DIEX Multi-Band Trap Shortened Rigid Rotatable Dipoles offer high performance multi-band HF operations. They make an excellent choice when there’s not enough space for a full-size dipole or Yagi. Power handling is 1,500 watts PEP SSB. Choose from these models:

NOTE: DIEX recommends that HF antennas should be mounted on a tower at a minimum height of 33 to 50 feet (10 to 15 meters) above ground level and must be installed in the clear, away from power lines, trees, buildings, or other towers and antennas.
