It’s hard to believe the 2026 World Radiosport Team Championship (WRTC) in England is less than a year away. Time sure flies when you’re having fun on the air, right?
This quadrennial gathering of the best contesters from around the globe is scheduled for July 8-13 in Suffolk, Norfolk, and Cambridgeshire counties, where 50 comparable operating sites will be set up for elite qualifying two-person teams to battle it out for the top spots over a heart-pounding 24 hours of operating. The 2026 UK gathering marks the 10th WRTC, which had its inaugural event in Seattle in 1990.
DX Engineering is a Gold-level sponsor of the event. Other sponsors include Moonraker, Icom, Mastrant, OM Power, Vibroplex, Momobeam, RT Systems, and bhi.
Hosting a WRTC is a massive undertaking that wouldn’t be possible without countless hours of planning and dedicated volunteers who devote the time, energy, and passion into making this an event that showcases the true spirit of amateur radio. You can see a countdown clock to the event and get the latest details at the official 2026 WRTC UK website.
