Combine the Nomad mast with the new DX Engineering Low Power Portable Dipole and Winder Kit and You’re Ready for Field Day fun!
Just in time for ARRL Field Day 2025 (June 28-29), DX Engineering’s new Nomad Portable Telescopic Masts are now available. That’s great news if you’re looking for a well-constructed, easy-to-transport fiberglass mast built for hassle-free deployment of lightweight antennas during your outdoor operating adventures.

Like their name implies, DX Engineering Nomad Telescopic Portable Masts are ready to travel wherever your adventures take you. Whenever you can have some radio fun, Nomad masts keep you ready to put up your antenna quickly in a park for POTA activation, on a summit for SOTA operation, or just about anywhere. They’re super short when collapsed for convenient transport and fast, easy deployment, with telescopic sections that lock in place with a simple twist of the wrist. Just attach a wire antenna and slide it up to the desired height.
Choose from two 19-foot NOMAD19 models (red or black) that collapse to 22 inches for stashing in a backpack or gear bag. They feature 13 sections with a bottom section tube diameter of 1.5 inches and a base cover OD of 1.9 inches. The two NOMAD23 models, also in red or black, have 14 sections that extend to 23 feet and collapse to 23.5 inches. They feature a bottom section tube diameter of 2 inches and base cover OD of 2.38 inches. NOMAD masts come with guy rings, guy ring clips for your ropes, and drawstring bag.

Choose from these Nomad models:
- DXE-NOMAD19-BK – 19 feet, 13 sections, black
- DXE-NOMAD19-RD – 19 feet, 13 sections, red
- DXE-NOMAD23-BK – 23 feet, 14 sections, black

Other features of DX Engineering Nomad Portable Telescopic Masts include:
- High-gloss fiberglass sections offering both high strength and a light weight
- Non-conducting low-loss fiberglass construction
- Friction Lock: Pull each section up with a twisting motion to lock in place. When extending, start with the smallest section. When collapsing, start with the largest section.
- Two distinct colors for different visual purposes—stealth black and high- visibility red
- Removable base cap to allow field repairs and sections to be removed if desired
- Hollow top section allows wires to be fed through for a full-length wire antenna
- Perfect for use with the new DX Engineering Low Power Portable Dipole and Winder Kit (below)
